Like the Preakness, this win will be bitter/sweet. However, I was holding my breath as I watched Sir Percy squeeze through to get the win, and very surprised and impressed by the effort of the maiden, Dragon Dancer. Of course, watching the race on TVG, I had no idea at the time what had happened in the back of the field. Still, Dragon Dancer must be one of the best quality maidens in the world?

You all forget one horse...Hala Bek, I may be mistaken, but if he didn't break to the right in the closing stages, Philip Robinson was out of balance, he could have won it. They say it was because it was only his second start which is right.
Hala Bek comes out of a very interesting damline, that of Milly Moss, Bally's Mill and Mill on the Floss, all stayers. Almost all those horses went to Cecil and I am sorry to say a lot of them didn't race for long. They showed too much talent as youngsters so they ran a lot of races as 2yo while they weren´t up to it.
I saw a colt many years ago at Newmarket Sales "Child's Hope" /Owen Dudley-Bally´s Mill/ he raced a couple of times as a 2yo but he wasn´t the one they expected he would be and sent him to the sales. He was sold to Belgium and won 11 races over there and that was in the time that the GP Prince Rose was a group race.
What I want to say is that the owners of Hala Bek must be praised for their patience and I hope that he will win more races for them in future.
