The older male sprinters are looking to be an interesting bunch this year.

Silver Train
Lost in the Fog
Spanish Chestnut
Carthage
Kelly's Landing (who SC defeated his last out)
etc

And you know, as long as I'm at it, the older male routers are a fun bunch...

Brass Hat
Lava Man
Buzzards Bay
Flower Alley
Bellamy Road (worked the other day)

The BC needs a dirt mile. Seriously. There is nothing for those 1-turn dirt runners who can't get the classic distance, yet really aren't 6F horses, either.

More than anything else in racing this year (now that the TC dream is dead for at least another year), I want to see Foggy take the Sprint. And I hope to be there in the flesh to witness it.

Yeah, that would be cool, a mile on the dirt in the BC. By the way, what the heck has Spanish Chestnut been up to lately? The pedigree query shows him as a gelding...did I miss something in the last year???

Spanish Chestnut was gelded at some point after last year's Derby, which is fine 'cause it probably means we'll see a lot more of him. He's nominated to the True North on the Belmont undercard. Guess we'll see later this week if he's entered.

Does anyone know if Carthage is Breeders Cup nominated?
