Thanks I have been waiting for Save to run. For 25 K he will have a great chance to break his maiden. Save will like a distance of ground, is his race a distance ?

It's 6 furlongs. While he might want a bit more ground, ultimately, I think a longer distance would be a lot to ask in his first race in nearly a year (and second race lifetime).

When Save was trained by Paul Assesni before being sold to Darrell Vienna, I would watch Save on the toe ring and he attracted my eye as a class TB.

While Save was in training with DV he had some chips take out and was at the ranch for 7 months. We will now see if Save has the will to win, and if some one will claim Save for 25,000.

Many horsemen wanted to buy Save when he was working fast when trained by Paul A.

Save worked in 46.2 and 58.3 when Paul Assesi trained him.
DV is not a trainer to work his TB that fast.

Paul A. needed the money and worked Save that fast to sell Save. Darrell Vienna bought save for $60,000.

Save was Bafferts horse until he got injured, then Baf didnt want to send Save to the ranch for R & R, so Baf gave Save to Paul A. to train, then Paul A. took his time with Save and today we will see what the result is.

T. If you ever get a chance to see Save, take your time and look at his conformation, I heard his stride is smooth like a mercedes and as agile as a deer.

I don't get TVG but Turner South has the occasional TVG show on occasion now (yay) but they're showing Save's race right now, took time to focus on him a couple times, once in the post parade and once talking about the drop in class, but he sure looked nice. Pretty grey. I hadn't seen him, just heard about him here. Ok they're about to go off...I'll post results in a sec.

Edit--Rats he went 5th I believe. Not hugely far back but I forgot to count lengths. Looked like he was gonna do well but I wonder if the layoff was the issue. There was a point where, if he were gonna try to gut it out, he would've had to keep from being closed off between horses going into the stretch and he just seemed to get a little shy of holding on between them. Lots of horses are so not a shocker.

Thanks for the report, I didnt get to see Save's race. Did he get claimed ?

I still believe Save will like a distance of ground. I hope Save came out of his race ok.

Exactly. He's a big horse with problems. Running where he will be useful. He didn't break sharply, Sorensen is a hack, and should have just let him settle. He was likely a bit short first off the layoff. He'll win next out. I wish Adam luck.
