SHIROCCO TO BC CLASSIC ?

Postby louis finochio » Mon Sep 11, 2006 1:49 pm

Will Fabre enter Shirocco in the BC Classic because the field is weak, or will Shirocco run in the BC Turf ?

The owner says Shirocco will go the BC Classic (Dirt).
It will be the last race for Shirocco.

Thanks BD for your news, we will now see who has the class and heart of a champion Shirocco, Bernardini, or Lava Man.

Thats what makes the BC a great racing day, as the horses will do the talkin g instead of the voters. Lets get it on. He Haw.

I don't think Bernadini has the BC on his schedule.

If all goes well, Shirocco will run in the Arc and I hope he'll winn because he is a hell of a horse!

Today in our racing-paper: Shirocco shall run in the Arc and later in the BC (dirt) - this shall be his last race:

http://www.galopponline.de/service/news ... 7&id=11473

The decisive sentences in original voice:

."

In translation: "...if he overcomes the Arc well, Shirocco might run in the BC Classic ... . In 2007 Shirocco will definitely not run any more ..."

Explain. It's been the goal from Day 1.

That's not news either...Discreet Cat hasn't had the BC Classic on his radar and if he suddenly did it'd be unusual. I'm assuming they're trying to get him there with the best chance and they see that as age 4. Given the connections of Bernardini and Discreet Cat, I bet they also want both horses to get the chance to get it. One's ready, the other isn't. They both have the talent. Neither may win or maybe one/both will and it's about maximizing chances I would bet.

It'd be unfortunate if they retired Discreet Cat before he had a chance to run in the Classic.

I don't think the Classic is the target for Discreet Cat. I'm not even sure they have pointed him to it. I do think he is pointing to the Dubai Cup in March. Many others feel this way. I doubt they will both run in the Classic....Dini and Cat.
