classic coming up

Postby Toccet02 » Sat Nov 04, 2006 2:52 pm

Let me go out on a limb and say that I feel a shocker coming up.
No predictions...just a premonition.
something odd to occur...
let's hope not a spill.

If he runs his race, it's going to take a MONSTER to beat Bernardini... but COME ON PERFECT DRIFT :!:

I'm so nervous. This feels so intense. Even more than usual. If Perfect Drift wins I will bawl like a little girl.

He was struggling, but still ran a good race. All credit to Invasor.

You still want to tell me Discreet Cat had a chance in this race :?:  Clearly Invasor at 4 in November is not the 3yo DC beat in March.

Gonna make Older Horse and HOY voting interesting.

Holy cow Brother Derek's lodging an objection against Bernardini. Hmm. Jerry Bailey thinks it's no biggie. We'll have to see. Congrats to Dan Hendricks. This horse did well all year and how fantastic. A top 3yo, finished a gutsy fourth in the Derby and ultimately finished in the money in the Classic. Looking forward to next year Dan.

YAY KIARAN!!!! So happy for him. I adore Fernando Jara and I KNEW he was a good jock. To whoever questioned him he totally proved he could handle this. A Derby win's a matter of time.

Sam, clearly Discreet Cat might not be physically ready right now so that's a pity but talent wise I think we had a tremendous year and he's better, I still think, than Bernardini. More fragile, yes that too. The Derby and the Classic had some fantastic horses, even some who couldn't make it this time like Barbaro and Discreet Cat. What a good year for quality horses. Can you imagine next year? DC will be as ready as they can get him and many of the top 3yos this year plan on running on. This is fantastic.

I'm excited that Premium Tap got 3rd. So cool. I didn't get to focus on the positions enough to see much but I figured Giacomo would do about like he did. Strange about David Junior.

Well my dream proved correct...I just couldn't tell who was beating Bernardini.

The layoff for Invasor didn't bother him a lick, did it?

Looked like David Junior was being eased up. He's off to Japan to make babies, so this race won't hurt his reputation. Hope he's OK.

George Washington...I take it he's going back to Europe?

Prediction: Lava Man will not ship out of California for the remainder of his career.

A good day, with a touch of sadness with the loss of Pine Island.

Perseveres with his heart
And wins with his character. --Tesio

Hmmm. I actually fell asleep sitting up before the TV and had to rewind the DVR!
Too much of a big yummy sandwich I guess.
I think the shock was that Lava Man was nowhere to be found.
Brother Derek ran well AND got a swat from Bernardini.

well I wouldn't quite say that was a shock, but I know many might disagree with me here...

What I found interesting was that Premium Tap wasn't really bet down much despite being pegged by many as the highest value in the field. Invasor was also not bet down too much, probably because he slipped under the radar when he missed the JCGC... I know a couple months ago he would have been bet way down because as everyone knew back then, and as everyone has been reminded of now, he is the best!
