Trainer's license study book?

Postby Garysmom » Wed Dec 06, 2006 10:08 pm

I have a friend who started this summer as an exercise rider in PA. She is new to the biz and young and wants to be a trainer some day. I know I saw a book somewhere that was a guide to help you pass the trainer's test. But I can't remember anything else about it now. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing or is it even necessary? Are there any books on training that anyone recommends. I'm looking for Christmas ideas.
Thanks!

there was a lady that advertised her trainers test booklet in the bloodhorse and t. times classifieds. unknown if its still there. blood horse could tell u, i feel sure. i ordered it. it is decent, and would make a good present for an aspiring licensee. it is expensive.

I bought the Winners Circle (www.winners-circle-llc.com) kit it costs only $95 and I used that as my only study materials.

I am 18 and passed the test with flying colours in September, I would definitely recommend it as it gave me an even better understanding of racing.

(The web address is out of TB Times)

Wish her luck on her future career
