Triumphs again, Scat Daddy third. Thoughts on the race?

I don't like the way he lugged in under pressure...do you?

I was very impressed with Albert the Great when I visited Three Chimneys. I hadn't seen him before, and I know his sire Go For Gin got little respect when he stood at Claiborne. I've been told Albert would be totally non-commercial, but I would love him for breed-to-race. Very smart, athletic, well-balanced horse. Time will tell about the commercial aspect.

Scat Daddy probably is a 7 furlong horse, or a mile horse under the right conditions or facing the right field. But I agree with Foggytrip - I didn't like seeing Nobiz lug in on his left lead like that. This was his 4th race and he hasn't missed a beat since he broke his maiden in September - I really don't think he's still green, especially after what he got out of his Champagne effort. I really hope he doesn't show up wearing fronts next time.

His pedigree is interesting with the precocity (and fragility) of Storm Cat through his dam and the ruggedness of his sire, Albert the Great. I wouldn't be surprised if this horse is hurt before the Derby, similar to Folklore. Like Albert the Great, Tiznow wasn't expected to have early runners, but Folklore had Storm Cat as a broodmare sire as well. Look what happened to her.
Tiz Wonderful had the same sort of problem and he has Hennessy as a broodmare sire.

It was a one turn mile but I was impressed with Nobiz...Its easy to say a horse will get hurt. There are a lot of factors that contriubute to that.
I think Tagg will manage this horse to the KY Derby...
Scatt Daddy cant go past one mile.
I was more impressed with Ravel in the Sham at Santa Anita than Nobiz.

Yeah I think if Nobiz can do it, Barclay will set him up as well as he could possibly be. Funny Cide had some major health obstacles and he worked it out.
I've been hearing a lot about Ravel. There's buzz with both him and Nobiz but obviously he hadn't done much til the Sham. I look forward to seeing the replay. Can anybody clarify pronunciation? Is it RAV-el or Rav-EL. I know how I've been hearing it in my head but I got to looking at it and decided to make sure.
