Fire Hero

Postby Toccet02 » Wed Feb 07, 2007 9:59 pm

This was no doubt totally (and understandably) overlooked because of Aqueduct's scary spill last Sat, but I saw a recap of tje race and realized that Fire Hero was involved; looked like he jumped over/may have had contact with poor Cadillac Cruiser, in any case was right behind him, and veered way to the outside.
He then however came back on to win the race. Pretty Brave.
I hope he came out of it OK.
Anyway I thought it was an unremarked impressive accomplishment for a vet campaigner of 29 starts.

Some of them run better in the face of a little adversity

Sounds like he might make a good chaser or hurdler . . . after he's finished with his flat racing career.

Send him to Jonathan Sheppard . . . . .
