looking for info on Long Gone Con

Postby metagrey06 » Thu May 31, 2007 9:45 am

HI,
I'm new to the board, and just wanted to see if there's anyone out there with info on a horse I purchased off-track named Long Gone Con. He's a fabulous horse...just love him! I'd love to get some info on a supposed early racing injury he sustained as a three year old. He retired from racing, sound, at 8 years old with around $400,000 in earnings. He's one of the most self-assured and fantastic characters I've met. I'm not a 'racetrack' person...just a dressage rider looking for any info on my horse! I'd also LOVE to know if there are any siblings out there, as he's proving to have tons of talent in the dressage and eventing arenas! What a fabulous brain, great mover, and competitor, and I wonder if his siblings are similar!
Thanks!

Here are some photos of Con....a bit "whiter" than when you all likely last saw him! He's 9 years old now!

He's a lovely boy! Is he still in Calif? Looks cold, wherever you're riding there.

I only wish that I could experience a California winter! Con is now a resident of Rhode Island...a New England boy! It was a very cold Feb when these photos were taken! He did grow a decent coat, but he certainly appreciated the extra blankets he wore! LOL!
He IS a lovely horse...can't say enough about him, and I'm tickled that you racing folks remember him! I guess he's always made friends wherever he raced!
