Michael - Summer Sensation

Postby Dave C » Sat Jun 23, 2007 8:44 pm

Summer Sensation (Siberian Summer) won the Journal Handicap (6.5f) at NP today (23/06/07). It ended up being a perfect situation for him as the track at NP is historically speed biased for the first few weeks of every meet and exceptionally biased on opening weekend. Although, the Journal Hcp drew many speed horses none were quite as quick as SS allowing him an open length lead which he never relinquished.

Thanks, Dave. I listened to the race on the phone and am sure the folks at Northlands Park could hear my screaming from the receiver halfway across the room!

Like that great West Point Thoroughbreds commercial where the guy is calling the race for them on their answering machine? :D

Congratulations! That's a wonderful sire you've got there.

Thank you very much. He's a sweetheart of a horse, as are all his foals.

That would be me if I had a share in a racehorse...or else you would hear a thump as I would faint!
