Peeping Fawn wins Gr 1 - same family as Rags

Postby Mac » Sun Jul 15, 2007 5:27 pm

This dam family (Blush With Pride) seems to be on a mighty roll. Peeping Fawn's gr 1 win today in Europe makes Rags to Riches accomplishment in the Belmont more interesting.

As for stallions in the U.S. with this direct dam family - there is Aldebaran, Good Journey, and Desert God...? Anyone know of any others? The first two are fairly new sires with only a handful of runners. Desert God is in New Mexico and he is actually doing pretty well as a regional sire...

It's hard to beat this family. They are consistently one of the top two most influential families on the international scene. I would put them head to head with the Almahmoud line.

Strong Hope can be added to the list. He's tail-female to Best in Show.

You also have the fantastic Australian stallion Redoute's Choice in the S. Hemisphere really highlighting the clan recently. You cant get enough of this blood in my opinion and I know in Australia inbreeding to Best in Show has been getting some stakes winners.

Don't be so humble - you are not that great.

Desert God has a very nice juvy filly in Texas with a fairly obscure trainer. She broke her maiden open against some decent horses, very easily. Shes a NM bred, I would assume she is going to be double tough out there in all restricted stakes, not to mention she looks to be an open company overnight stake type filly.

Foggy Trip, very interesting. What is the filly's name?

Maven, I am completely agreeing with you about this family. This genetic line is just flat-out exciting. I have been following Redoubte's Choice as well...

I know Good Journey's first starter was a winner, but any other runners he might have would be in Australia like that one.
