Obviously everyone knows about Vic Molina kicking a horse in the belly. He was immediately banned from Philly Park, even before his hearing with the Stews, where he was given a stiff 30 days and $1,000 fine. His story made national news. I believe the video was shown on FOX News nationwide.
Last week at Philly, a trainer punched a horse in the head while trying to tie a tongue tie in the paddock. The incident was recorded on camera much the same as Vic's. No news, no banning. Nothing yet. I understand the trainer has a hearing, but is still allowed privileges of the grounds, including running horses. If found guilty and given the same 30 days suspension, will the horses just be transferred to an assistant, spouse, or other relative?

Let's talk "double standards" -
A few years ago when Victor Carrero was thrown from a horse that broke down, he threw dirt on the horse in anger - that was his ticket out of NY.
Where did he eventually wind up? Philly Park. But Philly Park got tough with ol' Victor Molina.
