If Edgar can ration that speed, ole' Guns could be tough to catch on the rail!
And DOWN the stretch they come!

How about entering the 2f Rocket Man stake at Calder on Extreme Day? He seems like he has the fractions to get it!

I think he would win it hands down, and yeah, we've thought about it. Not sure what to do... but I don't see Saratoga as his thing. 5 furlong Monmouth? dunno.

Maybe try blinkers off? I love that equipment change on a speed horse.

What about 4.5 furlongs at Charlestown-Allowance races are worth 27K and theres no doubt he could clear N1X and probably N2X

They ran the Rocket Man in :21.15 on a sloppy, sealed track. Next year!

What about a 7 furlong grass race where the horse won't have to fight in a :21 opening quarter? I always felt that speed carries a little farther on the turf, anyway.

Tried it, he sprinted to a 15 length lead, the announcer said: "And GUNS DRAWN is sprinting like a quarterhorse!". There is absolutely no limit switch on GUNS, he loves to press. I wish they had 4 furlong Grade 1 races. :?

Probably have to go no further than 5 furlongs with him Drew. Grass or dirt. problem is they dont write a lot of races going 5 furlongs on the dirt of his caliber but they do write some turf races going 5 furlongs.

Yes, Drew, it seems to me that the 5 furlong turf sprint is becoming quite a bit more popular and lucrative.

Drew if you ran in New Zealand youd have a stakes horse. Unfortunately the window for grass spritners over here is very small.
