Man that was a good race.
I always liked Bwana Bull... should be better as a 4YO, he reminds me a LOT of Giacomo... neither have any turn of foot whatsoever, but they are both gridners.
Zanjero, who was my longshot in the derby, is one of the best 5 3YO's in the country... however SA has done a great job of managing this horse... putting him in spots that he can win and not butting heads with horses he has little if no chance to win against... If amped up, Curlin, SS, and maybe Hard Spun are better.. maybe AGS. But this is a horse who had no NO shot in the derby with the 1 post, basically won the blue grass, came in 3rd int he LA Derby wtih a horrid trip a dn the best race I have seen him run in yet, the Risen Star, he was making a move when Circuar Quay clipped heels and stopped him in the process.
I woulnd't be suprised to see him mount a Grade 1 win before it's all said and done
see Currin? See what happens when you put horses in stops where they can win? he just banked a little under a half a million in West Virginia while your horse is sick from all the airline miles.
Dominican (KY) had no business in that race. he's a poly specialist. In particular Kentucky Poly. I bet he's be a monster at Del Mar.
Sam P. (KY) always has been and always will be an allowence horse. He runs good enough not to get embarassed in Stakes Races, so they keep running him there. Poor management if you ask me.

Thanks for the offer, but I'll politely decline.Tucumcari wrote:The percentage alone hurt. HUGE
Yeah, getting nosed out for 1st money had to hurt, but you should be pleased with 2nd place money as the 2nd longest shot in the race.
Bwauna Bull had no reason being that high of odds.. the trainer angle alone should have put him at 7 to 1.
