Passified

Passified, dtr of Compton Place a son of Ahonoora who is putting some good runners/winners on the ground won the San Clemente - this was her 6th win in 6 outs I believe (or something very near that number) - I thought her pedigree quite interesting: besides being a Byerly Turk Sireline descendant she is closely inbred to Nebbiolo, which is not often seen in today's pedigrees. Compton Place stands in England where he got off to an immediate good start with winners from his first crop to race. An interesting story per the Bloodhorse article on this new stakes winner. Passified was purchased in England at Tattersalls by the owner's trainer instead of the intended target when the trainer didn't like the horse he was sent to buy, so was told to look around for another to buy. He purchased Passified. However, Passified didn't really please the owners who almost sold her on rather than train her - but look at how well she's performed here in the US!
