Smokey Stover

Here's hoping Smokey Stover gives Harry Aleo and Greg Gilchrist the Breeders' Cup I thought Lost in the Fog was going to win. Golden Gate Fields, the home of Sprint champions!

The cagey Gilchrist looks like he has Smokey peaking at the right time. He might get it done this fall..

He sure didn't show it at Calder. I like Harry Aleo, though - I wish him success with this horse.

If you want to discuss, "Best sprinter," Biancone just might have it with La Traviata - this filly can FLY. No, not just FLY...she's a jet!

There's just something funny about the world's biggest Storm Cat and Unbridled detractor applauding a granddaughter of Storm Cat out of a daughter of Unbridled.

It's either the end of the world or you're not half as biased as I thought!

Sex-balanced Mr. P through Fappiano, Yarn, and Miswaki and the Rasmussen Factor to one of the most underrated bluehens in Grand Splendor... pedigree to suggest top class speed.

It will never happen but I would LOVE to see her go to Honour and Glory. Tartan blood LOVES more Tartan blood.

Whoever said that I was biased, Maven?

I don't expect La Traviata to have a long career, if that clears things up for you. She's a late three year old with only three career starts.....would you hazard to guess that she has some physical issues (ala Storm cat/Unbridled blood pumpin' in her veins)? It doesn't seem to be helping The Green Monkey any!

I've said it before and i'll say it again... the faster they are the more likely you'll see them breakdown with the trainers we have today.

With that said, let's not put a hex on her. She's an exciting addition to the scene.

Smokey's trainer is being wise with picking his spots. He believed by the time LITF got to the BC, he was over the top with all of his travels and starts and unknown at the time, the cancer may had started.

Smokey is the one, right now, to watch in regard to the Sprint. He's legit and throw out the race at Calder. Just not his day!
