Smart Strike's progeny ruled today
What a day for his two-year-olds along with Curlin taking down Lawyer Ron!!!!
That was amazing for SS today!! Four, count them four stakes winners today including 3 grade 1. Holy Hell!!!
Smart Strike , always underrated, is now about to start getting some serious respect! He was always a tremendous value at stud and his numbers have always been superb.
Go No Class family!!!!! Maybe Dance With Ravens will be able to be an affordable option.....

Perhaps if we asked really nice, Bedouwia, they'd shuttle sires like SS south
, but I think I would miss paying all those shipping bills when my mares go out of state to get bred, along with all the boarding bills. I would have more money left over to buy more horses, so it would not end up being economical anyway.
Back to SS, I hadn't even heard of a couple of these stakes winners until today! I wonder if his '08 stud fee just went up????

Western PA prices vs. western NY
Property in western PA [not around Pittsburgh, however] IS cheaper than eastern PA.
It is NOT cheaper than western NY. However, once you take into account the annual property taxes . . .
it might be . . .

Our property tax in NY is not even 300 dollars. It is in the clean and green/agriculture. It will be agriculture when we get things built etc. Even property in Middleburg, VA (a very expensive area) if it is being used for agriculture the property taxes are cheap. I have a friend who has a million dollar home with a guest house and his taxes are about $1,000 a year because his horses are on the majority of his land on pasture.
