Yep, his fee is going up next season!

His next foal should be named Strike the Cat Down

I just heard this was from last week so can you imagine what it'll be after this? Is $150,000 a sufficient leap or is $200,000 not unreasonable?

Many people have been on his bandwagon for years on this MB and now he bears the type of fruit racing's elite both envy and cherish. I've long advocated him but will no longer due so at the $150,000+ range as "the next bargain" is always waiting to be discovered. While it's no secret Exchange Rate at $10,000 has been the "bargin" of the past couple years I strongly suspect he will be $50,000 next season.... ouch.

And is Mr P the greatest "sire of sires" and influence in the history of US racing? He gets my vote and it's not even close by my measurements.

Certainly on the dirt....he's in a class by himself. Even if you're forced to include Fu Peg.

A colt out of Tenski sold for $775,000 this year. Is that the record for a Smart Strike yearling?

IMO you can't get enough of Mr. P whether you're running on dirt(wet or dry), grass or asphalt!!! He is the greatest! :D

Truly a sire of sires!!!

I can only dream of breeding to a sire like Smart Strike. Drool. In my price range, I am relegated to the likes of Strategic Mission and Kipling, but at least both of those sires (out of the Mr. P. line) are doing fantastic. They've produced Showing Up and Kip Deville, and both of them have a high percentage of stakes winners from a limited amount of starters and very modest mares.

The Mr. P. line through Gone West also was pretty hot at the Breeder's Cup this weekend....
