but at least he hasn't KILLED anyone like this guy has

Now Cole Norman is off the chain. He kills someone not too far from here, now he gets arrested AGAIN for being drunk, having xanax without a prescription (whcih is pretty damn strong) and running over a line of mailboxes

That won't look good at sentencing! He better get to rehab asap before he does kill someone (ELSE).

The guy's gotta be going to the slammer for a while, no? He's clearly not going to stop drinking and driving. Has already killed someone... what's next an entire family?

What about Cole Norman's poor family? I don't hear anyone crying for them....but Jose Santos's daughter was drunk and killed someone and all I read on the Santos thread was, "Poor Jose...." - seems like a double standard to me. Everyone hopes for the best with Santos but nobody cares about Cole Norman's family. What gives?

Your heart doesn't go out to Cole Norman or his family, as well?

I would have to imagine he's looking at 2nd degree manslaugter, not a while as far as killing someone goes, but 5-10 is about right, unless he can somehow prove that it was not his fault (the wreck, and the woman WAS 85 years old and we all know that 85 year old drivers are the best on earth)

no arguement here. NOtice how I (don't think I have) posted in that thread. you have to be accountable for your actions, rather accidental or something you have done on purpose. I am always pleased with myself. Becuase of that, I make sure everything I do falls into line with how i view myself. at the end of the day I have to look int he mirror and answer to myself.

this man has problems, let's hope he can get on the straight and narrow as with Santos's daughter

rok, I agree with you. It does appear to be a double standard. Both families will never be the same no matter what the outcome is. Sad, very sad.

Roke,

This is the first I read of this person's problems, I too feel sorry for his family. There are more people affected by something like this than just the victims family, the defendent's family are victimized too.

The whole Amish community realized that after that lunatic went into their school and killed all those poor little girls. They went to his family and told his wife they didn't hold them responsible. They went to his funeral and prayed for him.

This is a lesson we should have learned from the Amish.

Yeah, that was something, wasn't it? Too bad the gunman shot himself - he should have been chopped to pieces and fed to the vultures. It's up to God to judge at the gates....it's our job to judge down here.

I absolutely feel for the family, think he has young kids and (at some point) this has to hit them hard.

On the other hand, Cole Norman is one of the reasons I stopped betting any of the races out at Lone Star (my home track). Let's just say, we had some UNBELIEVABLE form improvement with his starters here in Texas. Seems that when these Texas trainers take their horses elsewhere, my suspicions have been proven. I think one of the problems in Texas racing is all the "wink wink" happening with the top trainers with the highest stall allottments. Hate it for the honest horsepeople, the bettors, the casual fan, and especially the horses!
