2YO, first time starter Postage Necessary just broke his maiden, by Gilded time. Not only did he break his maiden at 5 1/2 first time out, eh did it faster than any 2YO I can remember this year.. 1:03 flat. just put the horse in your Virtual stable and keep an eye on him...

And he's Louisiana bred. If they bring him back home he should do really good. The time and effort were both impressive.

Also, saw where my man Bobby Flay won with a maiden by Sky Mesa at Aqueduct yesterday. And, Bobby Hurley ran second. Great to have new celebrity blood in the game and be successful!!

i can't stand anything associated with Puke basketball but I've been a fan of flay for a while.. although I'm a huge fan of his wife.

BDW, we're so glad you are not opinionated!!!! LOL It seems it's always been kind of difficult for you to express you feelings. :)

P.S.- When does Oaklawn open this year?

Larrygene - you can see that BDW's shock therapy sessions are starting to show results! :D

rok, I hope the shock sessions don't wear off until after Oaklawn's meet is over because BDW is a pretty good handicapper and I'm going to be looking to him for some help with my pick 4's. He might be a little crazy but he sure can pick a longshot!!!

You're right, Larry....he can pick more than just his nose.

But that's OK...there are other things to beat him up on. LOL!

speaking of oaklawn, I heard today from someone that I would think would know.. there are some...interesting 2YO's to say the least that he thinks will be stabled at oaklawn. my gosh if oaklawn would just have a sumemr meet... sometime between may and september so I can go to magic springs on my way home from te live meet I would be in heaven. apparantly the majority of trainers have been fooled 3 times (smarty jones, afleet alex and curlin) and won't make the same mistake again this year... but look for the arkansas derby, the million dollar arkansas derby I might add to be the most competiitve prep this year.

Going back to Postage Necessary, I saw that race and the horse did look very good.

Am I right in thinking that Gilded Time just went to Alberta? Or am I thinking of another stallion whose name begins with G?
