Maren's Meadow (sponged filly returns)

I just noticed that the two-year-old filly who had a sponge shoved up her nose before her last start, Maren's Meadow, is in the 8th race today at Fair Grounds.

I hope she returns to form today. She shows a very fast workout.

She won!

And at 3-to-1

, as opposed to 4-to-5 the day she got sponged.

I didn't see the race, but I am glad to hear she is back to her old self. I read she went thru a lot trying to diagnois her problem ( before they found she had been sponged )
It is a very scary thought someone would do such cruel things probably just to win purse money.

She was probably running and thinking....gee I can breathe really good today!!!! dummies I can think of a few places I'd "sponge" the nut who did that to a horse!! :evil:

I am glad she is back and well..That must have been a real scare for her people.
