Pletcher wins the 134th Kentucky Derby!!!!

Postby larrygene » Thu Feb 07, 2008 7:02 pm

I hope Roke and hpkingjr remember the bet we have. $100 each, says Pletcher wins the KD this year with whatever!!!!! This is just a reminder.

Remember who picked Curlin to win and go on to be a great racehorse!!! Everybody said I was crazy, even one said I was showing my ignorance and he had to eat crow. Pletcher wins the KD this year!!!!

The guy was loaded last year and he made a fool of himself in the Derby.

Larrygene, you've gotta stop drinking when you post. LOL!

Where have I been? I can only name one stakes winning 3 year old in Pletcher's barn - and he won a stake on grass at Santa Anita - The Leopard.

Is he Ready's Image's trainer? If so, that one is lucky to get a mile, let alone 1 1/4.

Ready's Image was eased in the Champagne. As fas as I know, he'd be lucky to be alive.

I know that Pletcher has a ton of $1 Million+ three year olds that haven't run yet. Maybe Larrygene's been impressed with Referee. Who knows?

He had a bone chip, so it wasn't life threatening. The articles I found on the subject said he'd be back in training at 3, but sure doesn't look like anytime this spring.

Sleuse or Understatement could be Pletcher's new hopes.

So LG, which major contender are Tabor and Magnier going to buy at the last minute to give to the Pletcher mass production factory for the win?

I don't know but I bet you are not far from the truth. My bet with Rok & hp was not on a horse but on Pletcher. After such a dismal Derby last year I figure he is due.

Check It Twice, Pletcher's entrant in the Risen Star, was scratched so... another one bites the dust, at least for now.
