A pretty good (a bit too long) piece-in general agree with it's message. The industry owes these fine animals, a scrutiny and decision making platform that chooses equine safety first.

The piece is as long as the song - not exactly sure how the producer could have shortened it.

And I'm with you - the horse deserves a platform. The one it has now is shaky at best. And the claiming system has always failed the horse.

It cannot speak up for itself or lobby state legislatures or prove to state racing commissions that when all is said and done, it (the horse) is one of the primary linchpins of the whole racing industry.

Those of us who love horse racing need to speak up for the horse and keep these issues alive.
