Hello,
could you be so kind to check the winners list of Premio Ambrosiano. A Start of the german trained horse "Star Appeal" was not published in 1975 in the official german racing calender and also not in a report with all starts of these horse in his live.
For Konigsstuhl (1981) I am not shure.
Ribot was ran in this race in the age of two in 1954? I think, it is not possible
Nogara was ran when she was a yearling?
Also please check the winners list of coppa d'oro di Milano. In 198x a horse named "jung" was placed there in the age of two. Also the listed Barzini is not correct, because the son of "Nebos" was also two when he was placed first time.
These are only the errors which I see direct. But my confidence to this winners list ist very down now....
Best regards

Premio Ambrosiano /Milan and other - error in Winners List

Someone has made a dreadful mess of the Italian races. A while back I removed Nearco from several races he had not participated in, and I just did the same for Ribot, Tenerani & Nogara.
Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing how many other horses & races have been effected, nor do I have access to Italian stakes records so I can double-check them.

I have checked the race record of KONIGSSTUHL. He was never run in Ambrosiano.
By the way, I have checked also the Winners list of the Preakness Stakes and found some errors in the older dates (before 1918). The Names of all horses were correct, but not the origine. Some horses were placed between 50 oder 100 years before the were born......

The only Italian race, Star Appeal ran, was the Gran Premio di Milano 1975, which he won.
Königsstuhl won the "Gran Premio del Jockey Club et Coppa d'Oro" at Milan in 1981. This is the only Italian race, he ran.
The title of Königsstuhl's Italian race could give an indication on the cause of errors: did 2 races merge (the "Gran Premio des Jockey Club" and the "Coppa d'Oro")?
We have a similar problem in the PQ stakes-race-db with the 2 top Belgian races - the Grand Prix Prince Rose (a weight-for-age) and the Grand Handicap International (a handicap), both races run at Oostende.
Although these races are different, the database shows the same results for both races in the same year several times.
The PQ-data-base still shows 17 wins for Nearco although it actually were "just" 14. Nearco's race-record is best documented on a Japanese website, which unfortunately most of us can't read and is even difficult to translate by a Japanese native, as the Japanese have an own transcription of foreign names that can't be retranslated without possible errors.
