Big Brown and the heat?

Postby Toccet02 » Thu Jun 05, 2008 12:20 pm

OK--it's supposed to be 93 on Saturday.
The heat is starting to build in now.
It's also rather abrupt because it's been pretty cool lately.

Anyone think this might affect BB?

Since they all have to run in the heat, we will find out who likes the heat.

Very true, we will see who can handle the heat. I know I don't take well to it.... :D

from the instant I saw him in the paddock I knew he was not looking right. Not exactly dull, but certainly no pep. They kept trying to describe it as confidence, but uh-uh.

He was so quiet. I must admit that I hadn't really watched him during any of the other TC races. Was that class or was it a very different horse?

Most of the jockeys were on other horses favored for hitting the board (Macho, ToE, Icabod, etc.), and none of the ones everyone thought had the most chance of hitting the board, did.

I think the heat was a component for everyone today.

Anak Nakal finally got a race where he gets to do what he does well.....runs predictably at one speed and is a grinder.

I was really happy to see him hit the board. :) Lovely classy name, too.
