Discreet Treasure..

Postby smokeglacken » Mon Jul 07, 2008 10:18 am

For anyone who may have missed it, Belmont's 5th race on Sat was a Maiden Sp. originally scheduled on the turf but was taken off. Didn't seem to bother Discreet Treasure. A half to Discreet Cat by El Prado. Discreet broke step slowly and was probably 12 or so lengths back in the 7f race. At about the quarter pole, Prado asked him to go and boy did he. He ran up, then split horses with ease and was being shut down at the wire. A very impressive and professional looking effort for a first timer. Looks like he could be a runner. Interestingly enough, Stanley Hough trains him, as he did Discreet Cat before being sold to Dubai. :D BTW, he's a 3yr old.

Here's the race if you scroll down..

I saw it. Talk about being much the best.
Not to mention his agility---looked like the A**holes weaving in between lanes on the highway without signalling
