Timber Reserve is entered to run in the Whitney! He is out of half sister to my mare Express to Boston.
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

Commentator on the rail going a 1 1/8...looks like he will see some pressure, but is the speed and should have the lead most of the way, however I still don't like his chances and he certain to be a short price. There looks to be a couple at least that could press him. There is one horse in here I feel good about, and the works are very strong. Kimmel's Timber Reserve has been working like a horse on a mission. Has not raced since January, it looks like this a race they have had in mind for sometime. Draws outside and should be able to get a stalking strip hopefully. Sports a solid win at a 1 1/8 in the PA Derby. Kimmel looks to have him ready for a big effort. Horse is a live sleeper and will be used in pick bets and a win play.

Other contenders are Solar Flare and Notional

Timber Reserve is also entered in the Skip Away at Monmouth Park. I think they will go in the Whitney.

Desite the good works, I think it's tough to win a race like the Whitney after a long layoff. Solar Flare is a horse that's racing fit and can take advantage coming from off a hot pace.

I think Rising Moon has a big shot, in his third race off that long layoff, and he will be a square price.

I saw that Rising Moon was vanned off - story said sore left leg.

Does anyone know if there is an update?
