Spinster- Carriage Trail!

Postby ef » Sun Oct 05, 2008 3:41 pm

What a crazy Spinster! Carriage Trail romps despite paying a visit to the grandstand... and in track record time! Model was second for a Giant's Causeway 1-2. What a fun race.

Indeed, and what feelings it brings up to see the cherry red and white jockey silks worn by the one and only great Ruffian on the track.....

If only she would have stayed with us, wonder what would have happened. I think there would have been a win record other than 18 in a row :)

Does anyone think Carriage Trail will be in the Ladies Classic?

What about Romance is Diane? She just ran against the boys and lost by a little bit to a fine colt. Will she go on to the Ladies Classic? If so, I don't think Zenyatta will have it so very easy as she has had it. Romance is Diane is also a very large filly, like Zenyatta.

Opinions, anyone? :?:
We will NEVER see another Ruffian......

Shug made it sound like they were seriously considering sending her to the BC according to his TVG interview.

I thought Carriage Trail was eye popping, and Todd Schrupp was so blown away by the time that he questioned it more than once before he accepted it was correct.

But I'd be very concerned about that drifting, it was pretty extreme. It will cost her against better horses. And if Desormeux's riding her, what if her drifting causes her to lose her place, will he pull her up?

I have been following Carriage Trail she she began racing.

She always was there but never could get that G-1 win.
Some horses get better with age...especially one bred classically like Carriage Trail. Two of my favorite sires here...Seeking the Gold and GC!

Makes me wonder how some of these other TB's would fare if they raced past 3 yrs.
