I could find out his day rate ageecee or could give you his cell. Feel free to pm me if you are interested.
rr, I've never heard of a permanent injury rate, although I don't believe it is an issue with Catalano. I thought he did an excellent job managing the career of champion two-year-old filly Dreaming Of Anna, who raced sound all the way through her four-year-old season. How many champion two-year-old fillies have done that?
I also thought he did a nice job with Lewis Michael, Jose Adan, and others. He seems to get a lot of run out of his horses.

and no offense intended to Mr. C since I know very little about him except recognizing the name. Agreed. Nice job with DOA!
Permanent injury rate/year (PIR) = % of horses trainer permanently injures per year. You can also state PIR in terms of survival rate e.g. X% of horses in so and so's barn survived the year. since win% is a highly manipulatable stat, PIR gives a better picture imo of the training that goes on in the barn. If the trainer is winning 30% but injuring 75% and getting his 30% by racing the survivors in targeted races, win % would tell us very little.
