March 4- 55 head
March 5- 45 head
March 6- 42 head

Largest field= 8 head
Smallest field= 5 head

Total races = 24

Number of races with 6 head or less = 17

Simple. It costs too much to keep a horse in training. Day rates are too high for what you can make back.

It's bigger than the 4 horse fields they used to run with Dorf as half of the field no?
They take forever to draw, the horse population is struggling in California. It's a sad state of affairs.

I can't really understand it. It's a heck of lot easier to win a race at GGF right now than a place with full fields. I'd rather run against 6 than 10 anyday. People ought to be shipping in to run. That is, if you can get your money out of the Paymaster after tomorrow.

I shipped one of mine to Turf Paradise. He just couldn't handle the Tapeta. Don't think the Paymaster situation is a problem. The TOC took over and think there is only a 72 hour delay until the takeover is completed.
