Condolences to the connections involved. :(

As an owner, I can only imagine if one of my horses was involved in such a horrific incident. Might be time to look into insurance.....

I'm wondering if they spelled it wrong? A search on Bris & the JC online names reveals no record for "Raspberry Kiss" - but there is a 2y/o filly named "Rasberry Kiss"

NiteOwl is correct. The article misspells her name - they must have trusted their spell checker over their racing form.

"Rasberry Kiss" was already in the database.

They actually had video of this on our local news last night. It was a horrible collision. Poor filly or jock never knew what hit them.

Sometime you/they walk away, sometimes you don't.
Either way it is never good.

This doesn't help at all. And the comments posted just show you how distorted is the general public's opinion of racing.

Horrible horrible collision, and it's sad to see how uninformed many are - one particular post really irked me - that horses are so "mentally damaged" from racing they cannot be retrained or do anything else - they should visit my mare, or other OTTBs. That comment was as ignorant as they come.
