Has she ever run on an off track? She's 9 for 9 and an off track is going to waylay her?

I say good for them.
The way I see it from reading comments on the net today they are damned if they do damned if they don't.
Had they run on the track and somehow comes up injured they are stupid for running. If they scratch they are stupid. There isn't full disclosure on the backside for the public. They scratched good for them for doing what is right for their horse on this day.
How often did John run on a sloppy track pre synthetic? It isn't uncommon for people to scratch in the slop.
It's a long year with a big goal at the end of it. It's not an easy task to campaign a horse and keep it sound and in top form every dance.
They have done a wonderful job with Zenyatta!

Saw on HRTV that if CD would harrow the track and "open it up" then she would have run, but if they sealed it, they did not want to risk an injury as CD is know to be hard and sting when sealed.

Kinda the same thing Mullins said/did this AM when IWR scratched--the ankle was sensitive, then to try to run on a sealed, stinging track is just asking for trouble. I'm glad Mullins had it in him to do the right thing.
