come on guys. you have to be fair and unbiased.
what is the point for me to get up and watch the works or persuit of thec up, when you aren't going to give shit to me straight?
I tune in to try to gain an edge on my handicapping, not to hear you handlsap and hi five owners and trainers.
crystal, tuc and others wil tell you I know absoluy nothing about horse confirmationa nd how a horse moves. when I know a horse looiks like utter crap, they look pretty damn bad. And quality road looked like he was out there on a pace maker, yet no one had the balls to really say anything bad about the horse.
are they afraid to say something wrong and yhe runs a bag up race or are they afraid of pissing pletcher off and not getting interviews? regardless i't not very fair nor does it give me areason to watch your show

There do seem to be some horses that are teflon-coated when being discussed by the media; not just TVG/HRTV, but also NBC and ESPN. I'm thinking of Eddington, who didn't really win a lot of races (6 for 17) but the talking heads kept insisting he was a Wonderhorse and that breeding was going to kick in at any moment. Hey, after the first couple of starts, he's on his own. But if you criticize the Blueblood horses over the air, you might lose your access.
When TVG first came on DirecTV via Fox Sports (before it had its own channel, it was only on for a few hours on the weekend), I really enjoyed the coverage, felt it was knowledgeable, and followed their picks closely. When they said something I'd noticed independently, I was really PO'd that they were broadcasting my secret ken. But after a while I noticed that they picked as many losers as winners, and the odds don't drop on their picks like they used to, so I just enjoy the BS like I do with my own cronies at the racetrack. They don't know any more than I would if I had their backside access to the big boys. Take it with a grain of salt. I think they can be useful on The Works when they have seen a horse work before and can compare the way of going, not just the time.

I only have TVG coverage, and I do like it a lot.
Matt get's a little old after a few days, but overall I think it's decent coverage, and my big complaint would be they don't cover enough tracks. I would like to see more racing from some of the smaller tracks and not just they're little group. I'm changing dish companies so that I can get both of the networks.
I like to works program, I only wish more horses were covered. They just seems to be the 2 or 3 horses from the favorites list. I like the way they break down the movement of horses as well. The more educated a bettor, hopefully the more wise their bets will be. Some of their educational things given will help the average person just as the Jockeys show has helped shed more light on the sport.
I hope that today will be awesome, and tomorrow will be better yet!
Good luck to all!

The jury may be out on whether he's a great horse, but I certainly think he's a very good horse. And he certainly isn't a one race horse. He was a Canadian Champion at two, with a completely different running style than he has now. He came first in the Kentucky Derby, second in the Preakness, then third in the Belmont and the West Virginia Derby, the latter two despite bad rides. Any horse getting into the trifecta in all the Triple Crown races deserves our respect. And also remember that he got closer to Rachel Alexandra than any horse since she began her unbeaten streak.

Boy, you can say that again. I used to really like him when he was on the afternoon panel with Todd and Frank, but since they've given him the :58 Flat show, I can't stand watching. I especially hate the hand-held camera zooming in and out, and by himself, it is non-stop drivel. He was much, much better as part of a panel.

BDW, TVG did show Quality Road jogging at Santa Anita and said he looked pretty crispy (in other words) I guesses you missed it. Karen I will text a few people and tell them about your zoom issues, it won't get ignored, probably just a laugh.

Yeah, tbrace, what geowarrior said. Did you forget about the other races?
