CT, Laurel, Penn Nat., which is most competitive?

Postby Blue feather » Sat Jan 02, 2010 7:02 am

DRF does give a winning par number for each condition at each track , so in theory I know the answer. I would like to know which track is most and least competitive in the experience of members of this forum. Is it tougher to win at one Mid Atlantic track over another?

I'm w/Griff on this. Which one is the correct answer?

There is no right answer. I'm curious if the owners and trainers in this forum find it easier to win at certain tracks.

I find it easier to win at Charles Town and Mountaineer when I run my WVBRED horses in races restricted to WVBRED horses.

The $5K claimers are more competitive at Penn than at Laurel. CT is the least competitive of all three for that level. MD is generally pretty tough. But I've noticed Penn has gotten much tougher. I would say shipping in to Penn from MD is now very difficult.

Ive actually heard the opposite. When CT gets too tough, they ship to MNR.
