You know for being so quick to judge Zenyatta's connections for not meeting Rachel outside of California...hmm...me thinks Rachel will have plenty of excuses not to meet the real 2009 HOY.

Anyone who follows horse training with more than a cursory interest had to have known that there's no way RA could be ready to race in the Apple Blossom. Kudos to Jackson and Assmussen for giving her the time she needs.

Hey people
Its not like the Horse stood in her stall for the last eight months of her life... ! The horse did stay at the track for a VERY LONG time. the Bloodhorse - every single time she worked out they reported it. Just like Zenyatta. She just moved to a different track. You know what ever happened to her going to Dubai? Back in Aug she was supposed to train and go to the World Cup just like Curlin did. That I DO remember.

Rachel Alexandra had had two works in the last five months. Yup, you're right, the BloodHorse reported both of them. What's your point? That she should be ready to run one of the toughest races of her life off a layoff and two works?

Moss keeps making himself look more and more like an ass with his comments. Talk about a sore loser, get over it buddy. Everytime JJ tries to say something nice or get the wheels in motion for a matchup Moss has to come back with some sort of contrived comment...it's getting real old

Only one getting old is JJ.
If this were reversed, and Zenyatta wasn't going to race her I am sure he would be yapping about her dodging them. Oh blech. So sick of him.

Yes, no way to get a horse rested and ready in 8 months. Give me a break.

Jess Jackson is so transparently phony it is unbelievable. What is more unbelievable is that so many people are taken in by it all.

It's not like the Apple Blossom is tomorrow, it's in April and they want to give RA her first start in March. A 3 week period between races is realistic and possible. Heck the AB might be Zenyatta's first race so RA would have a race under her belt already. JJ has his own agenda and he wants Z's connections to abide by it and I hope they don't and do what is right for Z and not JJ"s ego.
