2YO watch 2010

Postby bdw0617 » Mon Jun 28, 2010 4:11 pm

i have already seen some 2YO's that have caught my eye, none moreso than sway away at fraeking pleasnton of all places. that's a runner, i don't care where he debuted at.

another horse is Road Ready. This one i think will in due time be switched over to the turf but this is a runner. broke his maiden in a stake race in his first race and did it nicley

Well connected is another that has the look of a horse that will get better with age.

for the girls, dawnie macho is the best 2YO i've seen by far, don't by the churchil downs hype. dawnie macho

there is a filly on the turf that opened some eyes sunday in the first race though. forgot her name off the top of my head.

Blue Orleans, a 2yo filly half to Pico Central, has won and placed second in her first two starts and has earned over 50K.

Nothing wrong with the CA Fair's. I'd rather run there than lot of these syn. surface tracks.

Watched replay that's a nice colt!

Wickedly Perfect (she's a Congrats)

I still don't know why, every time there's a two year old or three year old MSW with a Smarty Jones firster in it the TVG announcers like to say what a super sire he is..... I'd like to know what races led them to that conclusion  but if they have influence on anyone watching they'll help drive the odds up on the horses that trounce them time and time again.

I was wondering that myself. Is Three Chimneys paying them off?

I'll toss in Sway Away (by Afleet Alex) out here on the west coast. Trained by Jeff Bonde. I think he'll take the Hollywood Juvenile Championship off his maiden win @ P-Town..

I was there for that race; it was very impressive, but I wish Bonde wouldn't be so honest to everyone he ever meets about his horses' chances. Everyone in the grandstand had that horse. By the way, he is aptly named. Check out the sway back.

Another impressive horse at Pln this meet (but a 2007) was Golden Winner. Wow, what a horse, and another one behind him won again today.

And don't dis Pleasanton!! Remember Casual Lies who ran 2nd, 3rd, and 5th in the Triple Crown came from Pln. :D

honestly.. don't know who causal lies is. before my time.

bonde has rocket ready as well that more than ready 2Yo that's nice.

if i owned a horse, being the betting man that i am, and we knew we had a stone cold runner like that first time off, going around touting my horse would be grounds for dismissal. that's alot of money espically on a big circuit like santa anita. you can put 1-2k down on a horse that you know can win at 3-4 to 1 that's alot of money.

i mean a few people it's gonna happen, but if strangers are coming up to me saying Hey man your trainer says he likes your horse in the first.. man that's too much. act like you've been there before

i'd put lila louann in my virtual stable as well.

alot of trainers are running horses in claiming races, that IMHO they know good and damn well, aren't claimers, because they know no one is claiming in this economy. lila louann will be running or should be running in stakes company next out

Kantharos looked very impressive in the Bashford Manor today @ Churchill. By Lion Heart out of a Southern Halo mare. Super efficient strider..
