and ramsey is peeved

"Look, they're in the horse business, that's all they are," Ramsey said. “They're not trying to sell anything else. They're out there trying to promote their sales, yet they cut $1 million out of their purses and eliminated two of their graded stakes races. How do they expect anybody to go out there and pay a big price for a horse when the potential earning power is being diminished by their own self? Why the heck instead of giving all the money to charities and non-profits, why don't they leave their purses alone? Instead of a million a year to charity, why don't they give $100,000 and let the (other) charity be the people trying to win some purses?

I agree with Ramsey and I have to say thats pretty ballsy to publicly complain about the charity giving.

i was going to say the same thing. i agree with his premise, but i think he could have been a tad bit more tactful about it. don't go around bashing charity giving. that's a no no.

Why not, charity begins at home.
If Keenland can't afford charity they shouldn't give neither should anyone else who can't afford it.

Ramsey is spot on, now if he would just pay his bills on time....
