Zenyatta's Preparation

Postby zinn21 » Sat Nov 06, 2010 4:59 pm

I commented on another thread, Zenyatta should have prepared in Kentucky rather than run off the plane. I strongly believe had she raced on dirt back east and went directly to Kentucky to prepare for the Classic she would have won today.

Smith stated the dirt in her face bothered her the first part. The head start she spotted blame the first quarter cost her the race IMO.

With a dirt prep and acclimation she would have been much closer with far less to do.

I know this may sound far fetched. But I have this nagging feeling that Zenyatta took very literally those workouts where she passed her opponent after the wire.

Great observation from both posts. I was thinking the EXACT same thing. I have been griping about it all year.
