The November results of the World Thoroughbred Rankings (WTR) are out, unlike the American Eclipse awards which are based on a horse's yearlong performance, WTR are based on the single best performance of the horse for the calendar year to date. These rankings are computed by national handicappers from all of the world’s major racing nations and given a handicap wieght assignment to hypothetically get them to the wire on even terms. The WTR final year end ratings will be published January 12th. TJ

Hi Winds,
You would think so, and the gap in handicap weight 129 against 125 a 4 lb. spread to put them on even terms at the wire. Then it dawned on me, Zenyatta recieved a 3lb. sex allowance in the BC Classic and was beaten a diminishing head....so that's why a 4 lb. spread....TJ
