My "way too early" derby top 10 list

Postby bdw0617 » Thu Dec 30, 2010 12:26 pm

I tell myself okay brandon you aren't going to do it this year lol. anyway, here goes

10. hollywood joe - a sturdy little horse who I think will rack up a few wins in the louisiana circuit, defiantly the first leg or maybe even the first two depending on who ships. Don't think he wants any part of 10F however.

9. comma to the top - horse was gasping for air trying to get 8.5F. He has talent and has already outran his pedigree, but won't go 10F. I don't even think he "went" 8.5 to be honest lol. this is one however that come june, july when they get realistic and cut back to a mile.. look out.

8. jp's gusto - yeah i know he got beat the last 3 out. I don't care. all three were crappy rides. they have gotten extremely cute with this horse. When they put pval back on him and just let him go to the lead and play catch me if you can this horse will show what he can do. I don'yt think it's good enough to be a top flight derby horse, but i think it's a lot better than what they have been showing

7. boys at tusconova - horse has talent, honest, I don't even think the 10F is goping to be that big a problem for somme reasonn, why I don't know, becuase I should. But the train has already come out and said he doesn't like churchill's surface, was spinning wheels.

now, there are 6 horses that I think are just a cut above the rest as far as talent and derby horses.

here you go

6. beamer - there are three things about this horse I can tell you for certain. 1. he will run all day long. 2. he has the talent to run with the big boys and 3. you haven't seen anything close to his best considering who his trainer is. This horse is going to make some noice (and because he's tampa based, at a price next time out too)

5.manicero - the best horse in the country no one knows about for some reason. horse has absoutly manhandled any and everything to cross his path in florida. he trounced goremet dinner like a red headed step child 2 out last out. won a stakes race saturday at tampa bay. would think hes' being pointed to the holy bull. /But do not let the calder / tampa lines fool you, this horse has some serious get up.

the factor - if htey all raced right now going a mile, I actually think this hosre would win. But they aren't. And I don't see him with his pedigree, trainer, getting 10F. I think when it's all said and done, this is hte most talanted horse as far as pure talent, but we are talking about winning the derby. he's just going to have to show me he can run that far.

breathern - has done everything right so far and I don't think pedigree is going to be a problem

archarch arch - broke his maiden in a stakes race. going to oaklawn and is going to clean house. horse WILL get 10F without a doubt. pro bably the best horse jon court has ever been on.

uncle mo - you know a horse has to be good, for me to put a todd pletcher horse, at the top of my derby list. never thought i'd see the day. I think this horse is that good. More worried about the 2 starts than the pedigree, i think he will outrun his pedigree.

He must be related to Comma to the Top.

Hi Toccet,
I was starting to worry about him for a while.....he didn't work for over 3 weeks. Then he showed up yesterday working 5/8ths at GP in 1:00 flat. He's pointing for the Holy Bull at the end of the month. TJ

Crap there is a 2YO trained by Nick Zito whose name is escaping me right now, broke his maiden at Churchill right after the Breeders Cup, maybe a day or so afterwards, looks real good, belongs on this list, would replace with Hollywood Joe.

Hi, bdw, why was it me whose persona you tried to steal over at TBC? I never said a word about you until I caught you when I was so far off line I was in intensive care. I get out of the hospital and find posts I didn't make, that spell just like you do.

lol, huh? What does that have to do with my derby list? I have no idea what you are talking about. I am just going to pretend I did not read that lol

And "spell" just like I do? I type fast, for the most part however I would think my spelling is english lol, or at least something resembling it.

Last but not least, if you had any beef with me, why not send me a PM instead of trying to call me out (for something I didn't do mind you) in a public forum and be cute. I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about ma'am, but out of respect for the forum, I'm going to leave my thoughts at that.

I have in how long have I been here, almost 4 years, never slighted you, never went off on you, never sent you any nasty pm's,I have never personally done anything to give you a negative impression of me upon you, and you can't even pay me the respect to not air what you perceive as a slight in private? While I am sorry for your trip to ICU, and I hope you are okay, I know what you to through with the seizures, that does not provide you the right to randomly accuse people of things like that.

Explain to me what reason I have to pick on you like that? There is none. what you are accusing me of makes no rational sense, considering 1. I like you and 2. of all the names out there, why chose yours? yet that doesn't stop the unfounded accusations.
