Postby wangkw » Thu Feb 10, 2011 6:59 am

So is Rainbow Pegasus. Rose Kingdom, the controversial Japan Cup winner, is also on the list.

Snow Fairy, Cape Blanco and Twice Over are also named.

Though the field is yet to take shape..If Snow Fairy does take a box on 26 March...I think her chance would be smaller than what should
have been in The Arc, in which she turned non-starter.

On turf surface her chance is definitely better, and 12f suits her more. Her win in the 10f HK Cup was nothing commendable..the 2010 Cup
was at best a 1B standard...and her winning margin, a neck over Irian, a so so stationed in Sha Tin...make my case stronger.

Well...way too early..let see who will get to run on the big day.

Dubai World Cup Current Odds :

Cape Blanco 7/2 - 7/2 - 4 7/2
Twice Over 4 - 4 - 5 9/2
Snow Fairy 9/2 - 9/2 - 4 4
Gio Ponti 7 - 6 - 7 9/2
Bold Silvano 10 - 10 - 7 10
Gitano Hernando 10 - 10 - 8 10
Musir 12 - 10 - 10 8
Mendip 14 - 14 - 10 14
Buena Vista 12 - 16 - - 12
Misremembered 20 - 16 - - 20
Dangerous Midge 16 - 14 - 12 14
Al Shemali 16 - 16 - 20 20
Allybar 16 - 16 - 14 14
Belle Watling 20 - 20 - - 20
Debussy 20 - 20 - 16 20
Prince Bishop 25 - 25 - - 25
Glorious Noah 20 - 20 - - 20
Transcend 20 - 20 - 25 20

Raihana 25 - 25 - 20 20
Wigmore Hall 33 - 16 - 33 33
First Dude 20 - 50 - - 25
Royal Bench 25 - 50 - - 25
Redding Colliery 50 - 50 - 33 50
Mr Brock 40 - 33 - - 33

Quite a surprise top favorite in Cape Blanco...most will remember his 13th in the Arc..It won Irish Champion Stakes by 5.5 lengths..good
only if not being marred by the 11 lengths deficit to Harbinger in the 6-horse field King and Queen E II Diamond stakes preceding.

Won Irish Derby mid-year after losing badly in French Derby in early June.

Look elsewhere for a winner......Not its cup of tea.

Dirt star Espoir City was leading at the mile marker in BC Classic...but out of gas thereafter...all of his carrer wins are split btw
8F and 9F.

For value bet it seems Belle Watling is the best candidate.

Allybar (King's Best) was a short neck 3rd in last year Cup..and has won a couple of races on the Meydan course..local knowledge
may help him..Dont rule him out.

Bold Silvano, winner of the 20-horse field Durban July in SAF, is made 9/2 favorite. His father, Silvano of German nationality, had won
the Arlington Million (a leg in the Emirates world racing championship series) in 2001 before assuming stud duty.

Same as Cape Blanco, which is down to 3rd favored now from 1st, he would run better on turf over longer distance.

Musir, UAE Derby winner last year, should be followed closely.

Order has changed at the ante-post betting for this big race :

Twice Over - UAE Al Maktoum R3, UK Champion Stakes winner
Bold Silvano - SAF Durban July winner
Cape Blanco - Irish Champion Stakes, Irish Derby winner
Snow Fairy - HK QE II Cup, HK Cup winner
Gio Ponti - Shadwell Turf Mile, M'O War Stakes winner

Twice Over's win of the 10f Al Maktoum R3 at Meydan course surely impressed racing fans. Musir was beaten 2&3/4 lengths
to claim 2nd. Another nominee, Gitano Hernando, finished
just a nose behind Musir in 3rd.

The somehow controversial winner of the Santa Anita Handicap, Game On Dude, is awaiting an invite from the middle-east
to compete in the world's richest race Dubai World Cup on 26 March.

I Want Revenge will now likely be entered for the Godolphin Mile instead of the World Cup. She has never run beyond 9f.

Game on Dude will miss the Dubai World Cup due to a recurring foot ailment. Sweet Ducky, who was recently sold, will race in the UAE Derby at 1 3/16ths miles on Tapeta for his new connections. TJ
