I will be there this year for the 14th year in a row. I already have my member's badge which, unfortunately, I can only use for my annual visit for the four days of the festival. The other meets I let friends in England use it. It is cheaper to buy an annual member's badge than buy tickets for all four days.
There is no better race meeting anywhere in the world, flat or jumps. Most races have 30+ runners and almost every horse has a chance. Over the years I have had winners at 25/1, 22/1/ 16/1/ 14/1 etc. etc.
The town of Cheltenham itself is hopping from Monday night before Tuesday's start through Friday. Really friendly people everywhere. The pubs and restaurants are packed. The town is virtually taken over by Ireland for the week.

Interesting and sounds like fun. I read St. Patrick's Day is celebrated during the Festival. I'd like to go at some time and celebrate for the entire four days, join he party! And of course, watch some great racing.
