Postby reenci » Thu Feb 24, 2011 11:52 pm

in tampa's 3rd race on 2/24/11 was a horse called "ruler of time" whose jockey in the previous time riding him lost the irons in the race and proceeded to hang on for most of the race , then fell off in deep stretch...well same jockey.. q h rodriguez was on today {24th} and what does he do ? falls off the horse going into the starting gate.....my god man .. ...get a new job  ...because this one sure as hell's not for you

I see your q h rodriguez , and I raise you a fransisco duran. Between Russell Baze cutting the prices of decent horses in half and FD's finding new and exciting ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, they have combined to make GG unplayable.

BD, I've ridden Francisco-never get a decent ride out of him but lately he's been winning a lot of races @ GGF.

I think a rider who fits this thread is Joy Scott. She has zero finishing strength and just shouldn't be riding.

Even the good ones will give you a so so ride every now and then, how about Go Go's ride on Hard Spun in the Belmont? He should have been given days for conspiring to help Rags to Riches win the race.

That was bad

Zinn you are correct I forgot all about Joy Rose, she takes the cake. There are very few jockies that if they are on, I just autotoss, and she is one of them If she beats me, it's just not my day..

I think what Reenci adn BDW what you are forgetting while criticising these jockey is that not all jocks fit all horses.
For example BDW I know that you were expressing interest in purchasing a couple horses to race and sending them to ca. Fine.
Go riding for once, pull five horses and see if you fit every single one of them.
Look guys Russel, Joy S, have won before I have seen them, but you can't complain about them because they don't ride or fit well with some other horses that you liked.
If you have a trainer out there thats sending your horse out with a jock you don't like, change it! Call your trainer up and say hey- I don't feel comfortable with this jock. If he or she doesn't listen then they are not for you.
Your New York jock that keeps falling off, thats embaressing, but eventually trainers won't hire him anymore. He has balance issues. You try getting into that saddle and fitting yourself in short stirrups like that and see how well you can ride.

BDW
Her name is JOY SCOTT. She is very good at Los Al she rides the arabs and TB S there. I have seen her, she s not a stuck up as some other female jocks at other tracks.

you know, that seems to happen like once a week. Baze brings home a horse that goes off at like 5-6--8 to 1 or something like that.

im well aware that not all jockey's fit all horses...gate riders, speed riders. off the pace riders,...this guy looked plain SCARED last time and that can be dangerous to other riders, and horses....hell its not an easy job by any stretch...but an animal smells fear ...and this guy stunk..
