How GALLANT does a horse need to be to get some respect??

I know that I will get plenty of flak from every corner here but if I ever had a horse that won a half MILLION dollar race for me and he lost all form thereafter I would be inclined to find him another sphere of endeavor. I would not sell him off for a new career around the "B" circuit . There is a 5 yr old in the 6th race today at Tampa named Gallant and 18 months ago he won the second leg of the Canadian Triple Crown ,the $500.000 Prince of Wales Stakes. Since then his formed tailed off and he has not run in 12 months but is in training at Classic Mile in Ocala. There's probably an interesting tale of how Mark Casse and Woodford Racing unloaded him and how he got to this place and perhaps he has had other owners in between ,who knows? Anyway I hope that he gets his form back ,perhaps that will garner a little more respect for the future as he certainly has some back class . I for one will be following his career with interest. Yes I know that he is young and has been given plenty of time to come around but he put $400.000 in someone's bank account, where are they now??

typical story of todays racing market.. not even a so much as a "what have you done for me lately?".. it's "what have you done for me Today?"

I think Woodford sells all the racing stock at auction, I can't recall the details but I remember asking around when they had Legal Move entered. What a shame.
