well here are some of the side effects of Amicar which by the way I didn't know was legal on race day. may be the answer is there
Musculoskeletal: CPK increased, muscle weakness, myalgia, myopathy (see WARNINGS), myositis, rhabdomyolysis.
Neurologic: Confusion, convulsions, delirium, dizziness, hallucinations, intracranial hypertension, stroke, syncope.

Hi Rumple,
She's in training at Palm Meadows and has been breezing once a week since Feb. 13th. The Rampart, April 2nd at GP is under consideration.....but Pletcher feels the race could be to soon for Life At Ten to be tight enough to go the 1 1/8th distance of the Rampart. TJ

The year Monmouth Park hosted the Breeders' Cup, Amicar became legal on race day in NJ. The year afterwards it went back to being prohibited. Quite obviously it was a requirement to host.
