agreed...the noble thing to do

he's a good guy and made the hard choice, even though he's done nothing wrong (in my eyes).
Race 10, Aqu 9-Apr-11, "Resorts World New York Casino Wood Memorial S. (Grade I)", Purse $1,000,000.
60% for the owner = $600,000
10% to the jockey = $60,000
less agent's fee of 25% = $45,000 take home
... I think "he can afford it!"

I can't believe they are scapegoating the one guy who protected the horse.
The person responsible, the trainer, gets no fine and we give him Trainer of the Year.
No wonder handle and attendance are down everywhere.
Again, we are our own worst enemy.

i wouldnt give them a dime more than the 5k that comes out of the total fine and goes to disabled riders...it does not matter if he can afford it...it just is not right....and they still have to run the race with UC yet ....horses are going to at least line up with him.......granted he should win......soldat should have won last week to but didnt.....flesh and blood not machines....thats what makes this game magical sometimes
