Sitting here watching TVG, they are broadcasting Keeneland, and there was just a race for winners of only one race and the horse that won, a chestnut colt named Argentine something or other (forgot the whole name) they said he was a 40K claimer that ended up in there, and he beat a fancy schmanchy colt who cost 925K I believe at the sales named Lauburu (Unbridleds Song X Goulash). Personally, I would not pay five bucks for an Unbridled's Song foal since they are so fragile. Too heartbreaking when they keep breaking down. He sires PRETTY horses, they should be in the show/halter ring. (Jorge this one was that grey color you like too)
The owners of the expensive horse are the big timers John Magnier and all their associates that spend millions on horses.
I wish I could see that race again..just goes to show the little guy can make it. I also believe the winner was trained by Michael Matz, Barbaro's trainer so that made it even nicer! Congrats!!!
