Wonderfully interesting what Zito has to say about Dialed In . . .

Two telling quotes here.

"Zito thinks traffic kept Dialed In from putting on more of a show in the Florida Derby."

To blame "traffic" in an 8-horse field doesn't exactly encourage confidence when his horse is about to run in a 20-horse field.

"These prep races today are not like they used to be. They’re tougher .."

Really? How so and why? It seems to me that there are more of them, that classic contenders contest fewer of them and tend to avoid each other.

Patuxet

You left out the most important quote "He's just a very, very, very good horse" you just might find out how good on May 7th, 2011.

A horse can have trouble in a two horse race.

Zito seems always to handle come from behind types who sometimes win big, and then suffer long droughts. They tend to be far, far back in races with s...l...o...w paces, and are then said to "not have fired", which isn't what happened at all.

Be wary.

I don't dismiss him, but I've seen the pattern.
