What a shock. So tragic. He was moving up in the Jockey rankings. His family must be devastated.

According to the article, he was facing a cocaine charge hearing. Wonder how he could still ride with a first degree possession of cocaine that occurred in November 2010??

Generally a drug charge is grounds for suspension in most racing jurisdictions.

I "believe" he hadn't ridden since April 29. .
It is a well known fact he was fighting some demons. I wish someone could have helped him before this.
Rest well, my friend.

A football recruit, the kid wasn't nothing but 19 years old, kid was very very very good, one of the best offensive lineman in the country, went to Tennessee, was first team freshman all American as a true freshman, got kicked out of school for using drugs, went to Junior college, arknasas recruited him pretty hard, decided to sign with Alabama. He died this morning from a drug overdose.

Just makes you count your blessings. We take alot of things for granted, that really aren't guaranteed.
