Wesley Ward at Royal Ascot

Postby TJ » Tue Jun 07, 2011 4:32 am

Trainer Wesley Ward, who had his share of suspensions in his American racing career, is having little trouble...so far...making a splash across the drug free pond. He will attempt to continue his winning ways at Royal Ascot next week. Read the article below...TJ

WW is having success with all FB, they win early, & become injured early. Next year at this time they will be history.

Louis, this is what the owner wants. I am sure they all know what kind of trainer this is. I hope they will perform well at RA and that the best one may win. New faces are always interesting, I wish they came to my country.

It's always a thrill when foreign invaders spice up the card whatever country you live and race in. The logistics are an obstacle but obviously well thought out and good luck to all who dare to make that move. I recall in the 90's when Dermot Weld sent Vintage Crop all the way to Australia from Ireland to win the Melbourne Cup and raised many eyebrows, nowadays it's a regular event.

Please explain exactly how Tiz Terrific, one of the horses mentioned in the article, is a "FB" since her sire is a Fair Play line stallion.

Mostly Because Louis Says So, but I'll guess that he will justify the claim by saying she is 4 X 4 to Seattle Slew, 5 X 5 to Bold Reasoning, and 5 X 5 to Northern Dancer~~the usual tomfoolery.

It's all arbitrary. 8)
